In 2005, a 60 kt/a alkylation (ALK) unit began to resume production in the Second Oil Refinery Plant of Beijing Yanshan Petrochemical Company. There have been many leak cases from pipeline welds, valve body, flange, etc. After half-year period operation, process is stable. However, operation hydrofluoric (HF) acid ALK has suffered corrosion problems. are no clear answers and references following What types currently main equipment for HF unit? does cause corrosion? influencing factors measures can be taken reduce acid? this paper, considering acid-related conditions unit, damage mechanism rate analysis were carried out calculate safety risk static unit. Based on failure history, material suitability was investigated. The anti-corrosion recommended materials important parts proposed.
